할 수 있다고 믿는 사람

진다고 생각하면 지고

도전할 수 없다고 생각하면 도전하지 못하며,

성공을 바라지만 성공할 수 없다고 생각하면

역시 성공하지 못하리라

If you think you are beaten, you are; 
If you think you dare not, you don't. 
If you'd like to win, but think you can't 
It's almost a cinch you won't.

 

실패하리라 생각하면 이미 실패한 것이다

당신도 언젠가는 알게 되듯,

성공은 사람의 의지에서 비롯되고

성공은 온전히 마음먹기에 달려 있는 것이기에...
If you think you'll lose, you've lost, 
For out in the world we find 
Success begins with a fellow's will; 
It's all in the state of mind.

 

스스로 뛰어나다고 믿으면 뛰어난 것이다

높이 오르려면 높이 생각해야 하듯,

어떤 성공이건 그것을 거머쥐려면 먼저

나 자신부터 믿어야 하리

If you think you're outclassed, you are: 
You've got to think high to rise. 
You've got to be sure of yourself before 
You can ever win a prize. 

 

인생의 싸움터에서 승자는 언제나

더 강하거나 더 빠른 자가 아니다

최후의 승자는 바로

'할 수 있다고 믿는 사람'이다

Life's battles don't always go 
To the stronger or faster man, 
But soon or late the man who wins 
Is the man who thinks he can.
